STEFFANY

Steffany and her family first came to the Dream Center when Bulldog Basketball was offered—not long after COVID had left them feeling isolated. With her husband working out of town, Steffany was searching for ways to keep her kids, then 10, 9, and 4, busy, connected, and supported. She was especially concerned for her youngest, who, because of the pandemic, hadn’t experienced the same socialization or childhood rhythms her older siblings had. Steffany knew she needed opportunities to build confidence and practice social skills before starting school.

Bulldog Basketball turned out to be exactly what their family needed. Her older two jumped in immediately and loved it. The coaches were not only skilled but also kind and encouraging, creating a space where the kids could grow both on the court and socially. Naturally, their 4-year-old wanted to do everything her siblings were doing—and the coaches welcomed her with open arms, giving her the safe environment she needed to gain confidence.

They’ve been part of Bulldog Basketball ever since.

Today, the family has grown to four children—now 15, 14, 9, and almost 2. Steffany has even had the joy of bringing their youngest to Toddler Time, where she loves playing with other kids and engaging socially.

Over the years, the Dream Center has become a true community for their family. Steffany’s kids have found a safe place to belong, to grow in confidence, and to be surrounded by people who remember them, believe in them, and celebrate who they are becoming.
