ISAAC

Isaac first came to the Dream Center at age 11, just as he was starting sixth grade. Four years later, he has grown into a confident, talented young man who knows his strengths—and isn’t afraid to use them.

From the beginning, Isaac has been someone who sees opportunities and dives in. When his mom needed a photographer for a church event, he picked up a camera without hesitation and discovered a natural talent he didn’t know he had. That moment sparked a passion for photography that he continues to develop through school and the Dream Center. He now contributes to his high school’s magazine and yearbook, turning what began as curiosity into real skill.

What started as “just a class” in journalism quickly became another space where Isaac shines. He also picked up orchestra in sixth grade and has been part of the Advanced Orchestra since his freshman year—an impressive jump for any first-year high school student.

For Isaac, the Dream Center is more than programs; it’s community. He values the teachers who guide and encourage him without making it feel like “another hour of school,” and the peers who have walked alongside him throughout his journey.

When asked about his Seed of Hope from the Dream Center, Isaac shared something deeply practical and meaningful—an example of “help for today and hope for tomorrow” in action. “Everybody at the DC works so hard to make it free for me to be here after school. If they didn’t, my mom couldn’t have afforded it—she can now, but she couldn’t before,” he said.

This year is Isaac’s last as a student at the Dream Center—“unless you guys hire me!” he adds with a grin. As he looks toward the future, he does so with gratitude. He’ll miss the teachers, the relationships, and the growth he’s experienced here, but he carries with him the confidence, skills, and support the Dream Center helped nurture.
